Quickstart

Prerequisites

Make sure you have Node.js installed.

Download the starter kit

The starter kit includes a sample sensor configuration and setup instructions. Download the starter kit (zip)

Get up and running

Install dependencies

Clone the repo and install packages.

npm install

Start the API

npm start

The API will be running at http://localhost:3000.

List your plants

curl http://localhost:3000/plants

You’ll get back the current plants.

Add a plant

curl -X POST http://localhost:3000/plants \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "Pothos", "species": "Epipremnum aureum", "wateringFrequencyDays": 5}'

Delete a plant

curl -X DELETE http://localhost:3000/plants/1
