The Plant Care API lets you manage a collection of houseplants. You can add plants, retrieve your full list, and remove plants you no longer have. For each plant, the API tracks its name, species, and how often it needs watering.

What’s new in v2.0

  • Get a single plant with GET /plants/{id}.
  • Update a watering schedule with PATCH /plants/{id}.
  • Record waterings with POST /plants/{id}/water. Each plant now includes a lastWateredAt timestamp.
  • Filter by watering status with the needsWater query parameter on GET /plants.
  • The base URL is now http://localhost:3000/v2.
